Can we prevent cancer?

Cancer continues to be the number one killer of our society-next to heart disease. Although the number of deaths has been decreasing year after year, we still need to be pro active with our awareness, education and prevention of this disease.
Cutting out cigarettes and tobacco as well as diet and exercise- or lack there of, are the key factors we need to pay attention to. If you are not a smoker, your eating habits and exercise activity should be your primary focus for the betterment of your health.
There are certain foods that can really help in the prevention of cancer. Fruits and vegetables, as we have all heard before, truly do help to combat free radicals and give us immunity to cancer. Tomatoes, vegetables like broccoli and cauliflower and dark colored fruits are the best. They have all been shown to help reduce risk for cancers such as colorectal cancer and oral cancer.
Supplement your healthy diet with calcium and other beneficial minerals and vitamins to compliment your healthy eating patterns.
