Black tea extract stimulates metabolism

Women are always on the lookout for new products that help you lose weight and burn more calories. Green tea extract is widely used to speed metabolism and promote weight loss. Scientists at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge found that herbal supplements containing black tea and caffeine also increased calorie use. They found via supplement increased the 24 hour metabolic rate by nearly 100 calories and systolic blood pressure by nearly four milliliters of mercury. Drinking black tea or taking supplements containing the tea and caffeine may have minor effects on weight control.
